Part of the largest grassroots environmental organization in the country, Sierra Club Outings provides environmentally friendly outdoor adventures for people of all ages, abilities, and interests to connect people to nature and to each other. As a Volunteer Outings Leader, you will gain experience planning and leading excursions (hiking, paddling, camping, biking, etc.), learn leadership and first aid skills, tie outdoor programs to real-world environmental advocacy, and mobilize your community around conservation issues. There is NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED -- we provide the necessary trainings and resources for you to feel confident leading outings. This is a flexible volunteer position, in which you can lead and organize outings based on your own schedule and interests -- what you get out of this opportunity is what you put into it. Just bring an enthusiasm for making nature accessible, inclusive, purposeful, and FUN, and we'll help you along every step of the way!
