Who We Are

Sierra Club is the largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization in the country. For more than 130 years, we’ve been working to promote clean energy, safeguard the health of our communities, protect wildlife, and preserve our remaining wild places through grassroots activism, public education, lobbying, and legal action.

What We Do

A chapter of the national Sierra Club, Sierra Club Florida is made up of volunteer leaders and civic activists representing over 32,000 members. Our mission is to enjoy, explore, and protect the natural and threatened places in Florida, to teach others to understand and respect the fragile environment in which we live, and to support equal environmental justice for all. Our staff and volunteers have formed localized political and conservation committees across Florida to focus on advocating for clean energy, clean water, environmental justice, Florida wildlife, and land management within the state.
