Innovation in Practice is looking for motivated volunteers who wish to make an impact on the environment and students in Title I schools.
Your role will be to work with the founder to improve the design and functionality of the eco-friendly microscope. Below is an example of our current design.
What we do:
We learn, design, and teach grades 5 - 7 students in underfunded schools on how to create and use an eco-friendly microscope. They then use these microscopes for practicals in their science lessons which enriches their learning.
Alongside this, we address climate change by using materials such as cardboard, old pipes, and paper instead of metal to make the microscope eco-friendly.
