Innovation in Practice is looking for motivated volunteers who wish to make an impact on the environment and students in Title I schools. 

Your role will be to learn how to create an eco-friendly microscope like the one below and then teach the students of our community partners on how to create and use them. 

What we do:

 We learn, design, and teach grades 5 - 7 students in underfunded schools on how to create and use an eco-friendly microscope. They then use these microscopes for practicals in their science lessons which enriches their learning.

Alongside this, we address climate change by using materials such as cardboard, old pipes, and paper instead of metal to make the microscope eco-friendly.
