Volunteers are vital to the success of our 9th - 12 grade program. Each summer and school year Breakthrough Miami welcomes hundreds of vibrant and talented Scholars full of promise and potential to engage in exciting and rigorous learning and enrichment experiences. Be a part of the Village that makes this all possible. We have a multitude of opportunities for summer and school year engagement and support.

 

Grow Through Service: Serve as a mentor, role-model and teacher to Scholars

Professional Development: Develop competency in teamwork, adaptability and communication

Engagement: Share your passions with Scholars and support directors with site operations

Commitment: Complete service hours during select Breakthrough Saturday programming

Recognition: Opportunity to be recognized by the Corporation for National & Community Service President's Volunteer Service Award for exceptional service and positive impact in the community.

 

Our school year program operates 1-3 Saturdays a month between OCTOBER and APRIL. 

Hiring for:
  • Supporting Volunteers - General Volunteering (data entry, Zoom hosting activities, Scholar outreach, capture pictures/videos during Breakthrough Saturdays, etc) 
  • Lead Volunteer - Specialized Volunteering (tutoring, lead an academic or elective session, special projects, etc)
