Bring the museum to life! As an Exhibit Buddy, you are the face of fun and discovery on our museum floor. You will interact directly with guests across our interactive, world-class exhibit spaces, helping children understand how things work and encouraging them to use their imaginations.
If you have an outgoing personality, high energy, and love seeing the "lightbulb moment" when a child learns something new through play, this is the perfect role for you!
Key Responsibilities:
Engage & Encourage: Roam the museum floor to interact with families, demonstrate how specific interactive exhibits work, and offer creative prompts to deepen a child's playtime.
Maintain Magic & Safety: Keep the exhibit spaces looking clean, safe, and welcoming. This includes periodically tidying up loose toys, resetting exhibits after heavy use, and reporting any maintenance needs.
Provide Exceptional Service: Answer basic questions from parents and guardians, helping local families and tourists alike navigate the museum and feel welcome.
Shift Details & Flexibility:
Time Commitment: Minimum shift is 2 hours per week/visit.
Availability: We are open Monday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (closed only on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day). Choose the days and times that work best for your schedule.
Who Can Serve & Requirements:
Ages: Open to Adults (18+), Junior Volunteers (14+), and Families (children 11+ volunteering alongside an adult).
Requirements: All volunteers must complete a brief initial orientation. Volunteers 18 and older must pass a standard background check.
