Little Medical School® of the Treasure Coast is on a mission to inspire the next generation of healthcare heroes, and our volunteers play a vital role in making that mission possible. As a volunteer, you’ll work alongside our dynamic teams to support programs in South Florida that introduce kids to medicine, veterinary science, nursing, pharmacy, and more through interactive, engaging, real-world experiences. Whether you’re helping set up a health education event, capturing content for social media, or lending a hand during class time, your time and talents directly fuel our reach and impact. This is a meaningful opportunity to gain hands-on experience in medicine and education, all while being part of a purpose-driven team.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead after school enrichment programs at school partner sites independently or with a team
- Assist fellow instructors with set-up, clean-up, and managing materials
- Help engage students during activities as an extra pair of hands and eyes
- Maintain the confidentiality and care of Little Medical School®’s proprietary curriculum and tools
- Help document classes and events (photos, videos, testimonials)
- Represent the Little Medical School® brand professionally while capturing stories of impact
- Assist in outreach efforts like prepping for programs
You’re a Great Fit If You:
- Are at least 18 years old
- Have reliable transportation and excellent time management
- Are available to volunteer once a week for a minimum of 6 months
- Are respectful, coachable, dependable, and excited about serving your community
- Work well in teams and are comfortable around children, families, and school staff
- Respect the privacy of our curriculum and do not share, replicate, or distribute LMS materials outside of your assigned duties
Bonus Points For:
- Interest in healthcare, education, communications, or nonprofit leadership
- Experience in photography, design, teaching, event planning, or youth mentoring
- Spanish language skills
