Join SeaKeepers and Run Little Havana as we join forces to remove marine debris from the mangrove-covered shoreline of Watson Island on Sunday, July 12, from 10AM-12PM!
Run Little Havana is a run club focused on creating an accessible and inclusive fitness community in Little Havana and the greater Miami area by offering free run meetups, community building events and health empowerment activities. SeaKeepers is proud to partner with RLH once again in an effort to reduce the impact of marine debris on Miami's shorelines while building a community of eco-conscious, active and empowered volunteers! Waiver: To participate in the cleanup, all volunteers must complete the mandatory Liability and Appearance Release Waiver HERE.
Meeting spot: Look for the blue SeaKeepers tent near public parking Lot 70 next to Miami Yacht Club and Jungle Island, located at 1101 MacArthur Cswy, Miami, FL 33132. Check in using the QR code to confirm your attendance and make sure you have completed the liability waiver before grabbing your cleanup gear!
Parking: Free parking will be available for volunteers in the Jungle Island parking garage located at 1111 Parrot Jungle Trail, Miami, FL 33132. A QR code will be distributed to registered volunteers via email prior to the event to waive the cost of parking in the garage.
What to bring:
- Hat and sunglasses
- Close toed shoes
- Sun protective/athletic clothing
- Water in a REUSABLE water bottle
We will provide:
- Water refills
- Gloves and pickers
- Hand sanitizer
- Community Service Hours
- A great time!
