Who We Are
StudentsCare is a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to connect undergraduate healthcare students nationwide with hospitalized children, isolated older adults, and their families to provide fun, friendship, and support.
What We Do
StudentsCare facilitates opportunities for volunteers to connect with kids and older adults through our Hospital Buddy and Senior Buddy Programs at our partnering sites in the Miami community. Volunteers will visit their buddies weekly, as well as attend monthly group events that provide occasions to celebrate holidays/special occasions, do crafts, etc. These one-on-one interactions provide meaningful support and help combat the isolation and loneliness that these vulnerable populations may experience.
The StudentsCare UM chapter is student led, org and partnering site staff supported. Leadership opportunities are available as needed. We provide leadership and volunteer training as well as resources to ensure your chapter is a success and your volunteer experience is impactful.
