The Woman's Cancer Association of the University of Miami (WCA) is a community-based, volunteer organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. The WCA is comprised of two chapters: Barton-Ravlin and Heidi Hewes with a total of 112 active members. Since its inception, the WCA has donated more than $15,000,000 to the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine for cancer research. One of our largest revenue sources is our Bargain Box Resale Store under the leadership of the WCA volunteers. Donations are brought to the store and sold at very modest prices to the local community. The store annually grosses more than $100,000.00. Additional funds are raised through fundraising events sponsored by WCA's two chapters, including our annual gala which is on March 10, 2018, this year
