Who We Are
The Austen Everett Foundation works to empower kids in their fight with cancer through the strength and support of professional and collegiate athletes and their teams by making them the Honorary Team Captain for a game. Austen was a goalkeeper for UM when she was diagnosed with Non-Hodkis Lymphoma. She understood how empowering it was to have her UM team behind her in her fight and wanted all kids battling cancer to have this opportunity. She started the foundation while at UM and received the Butler Community Service Award last June for exemplary community service and outreach to kids with cancer, posthumous.
What We Do
Volunteers have the opportunity to assist with the following:
- Accompany patients
- Represent the Foundation at events
- Work with the children who are battling cancer
- Assist with athletic events
