Broward Youth Treatment Center

We are a 40 bed low level residential drug rehab program for adolescent boys ages 13-18. We are a clinical facility with a clinical director, nurse, therapists and case managers all on site. The youths we deal with are court ordered to attend a program where we see them for a stay of 4-6 months. At our facility they attend school 5x a week, participate in therapy groups and also various dynamic programs provided by the recreation therapist. We were voted the most outstanding program in the southern region by Youth Opportunity Investments and we are constantly looking for community reintegration/enrichment opportunities for our clients.

Youth Care Volunteer: Volunteers will be able to assist with a myriad of activities such as; assisting the Recreation Therapist in athletic programs (basketball, football, dodgeball etc.) Coordinating/Facilitating time in the Art studio, Aroma Therapy, Music programs, Community enrichment programs and looking for College level scholastic opportunities for graduated youth, assist in identifying and locating partners in the community to form partnerships with. Assist the Food Service Manager in serving & preparing meals to residents. Assist Transitional Case Manager in looking for and providing job training skills / interviews for youth. Assist Case Managers in client documentation.
