The mission of ArtCenter/South Florida is to support artists and advance the knowledge and practice of contemporary visual arts and culture in South Florida. ArtCenter creates opportunities for experimentation and innovation, and encourages the exchange of ideas across cultures through residencies, exhibitions, public programs, education and outreach.
What We Do
Volunteers will work with ArtCenter/South Florida Teaching Artists as they assist Camillus House (Homeless Shelter) with their art program. Classes will be held at the Shepard's Court location @ 1555 NW 7th Ave, Miami, FL 33136 and will occur during the day, on weekdays. This opportunity is well suited for students studying Visual Arts, Art Education, Art Therapy & Social Work. Volunteers will act as teacher's assistants and will assist Camillus Clients with art projects in a variety of artistic mediums. Assistance with exhibitions and participation in local art fairs is also needed.
