As a volunteer, you’ll work alongside our dynamic teams to support programs in South Florida that introduce kids to medicine, veterinary science, nursing, pharmacy, and more through interactive, engaging, real-world experiences. Whether you’re helping set up a health education event, capturing content for social media, or lending a hand during class time, your time and talents directly fuel our reach and impact. What You’ll Do:

Lead after school enrichment programs at school partner sites independently or with a teamAssist fellow instructors with set-up, clean-up, and managing materialsHelp engage students during activities as an extra pair of hands and eyesMaintain the confidentiality and care of Little Medical School®’s proprietary curriculum and toolsHelp document classes and events (photos, videos, testimonials)Represent the Little Medical School® brand professionally while capturing stories of impact Assist in outreach efforts like prepping for programs

You’re a Great Fit If You:

Are at least 18 years oldHave reliable transportation and excellent time managementAre available to volunteer once a week for a minimum of 6 monthsAre respectful, coachable, dependable, and excited about serving your community Work well in teams and are comfortable around children, families, and school staff Respect the privacy of our curriculum and do not share, replicate, or distribute LMS materials outside of your assigned duties

Commitment Required: Minimum 1 year | At least 3 weekday afternoons per week | 1:30–5:00 PM availability during the school year

As a Little Medical School® Instructor, you’ll bring hands-on, inspiring lessons in medicine to children through after-school programs, in-school field trips, and camps across our region. Our programs introduce young minds to the worlds of medicine, veterinary science, pharmacy, nursing, sports medicine, and more, all while sparking confidence, curiosity, and purpose. What You'll Do:

Teach meaningful, high-energy lessons that introduce K–8 students to healthcare concepts in a fun, hands-on wayRepresent Little Medical School® professionally at each class location, ensuring each child and school partner feels seen, safe, and valuedProtect the integrity of our copyrighted curriculum and materials, only LMS instructors or volunteers may handle or present these toolsArrive prepared with your instructor and student kits, set up and clean up class materials, and ensure your teaching area is left better than you found itReinforce teamwork, inclusion, and a love for learning in every interactionBe part of a purpose-driven community that supports and uplifts each other while changing lives

Are 18 years or olderHave your own vehicleAre available at least 3 weekday afternoons per week (during the times of 1:30–5:00 PM during the school year) for a minimum of one yearAre positive, professional, reliable, and energized by working with kidsAre self-motivated and able to work independently at partner sitesUnderstand the privilege and responsibility of delivering our proprietary curriculum with care and confidentialityHave leadership teaching, camp counseling, or youth mentorship experienceCan pass a background check and uphold high standards of safety and trust
