Victim Response, Inc. (VRI) The Lodge is a non-profit shelter whose sole purpose is to provide refuge and service to victims of domestic violence, rape, sexual assault, and other victims of crime.
On May 14th, 2004 VRI opened “The Lodge”, a shelter for victims of domestic violence, rape and sexual assault in Miami-Dade County.
The Lodge is a publicly funded, privately operated domestic violence centre which represents the next generation of what can be achieved when the private and public sectors work hand-in-hand to address community issues. Currently, the primary funding source of The Lodge is Miami-Dade County’s Domestic Violence Oversight Board with funds from the Food & Beverage Tax.
The Lodge’s physical address in confidential in order to provide safety for those clients seeking refuge from violence. Services are provided regardless of race, sex, religion, age, disability, ethnicity, national origin, spoken language, or sexual orientation.
