Biscayne National Park

Who We Are

Biscayne National Park is one of over 400 units of the National Park System. As the largest marine park in that system, it protects 173,000 acres comprised of mangrove forests, the southern end of Biscayne Bay, over 50 of the northernmost Florida Keys, a portion of the world's third-largest coral reef, and evidence of 10,000 years of human history.

What We Do

•Interpretation & Visitor Services - Greeting visitors, conducting guided programs and assisting at special events are the things you might do as a volunteer for this park group. •Environmental Education & Outreach - Helping conduct classroom, outreach and outdoor programs, are the things you might do as a volunteer for this park group. •Science & Resource Management - Assessing fishery stocks, conducting archaeological surveys and working to eradicate invasive species are some of the things you might do as a volunteer for this park group. •Maintenance - Carpentry, mechanical work and painting are some of the things you might do as a volunteer for this park group.
