Biscayne National Park is one of over 400 units of the National Park System. As the largest marine park in that system, it protects 173,000 acres comprised of mangrove forests, the southern end of Biscayne Bay, over 50 of the northernmost Florida Keys, a portion of the world's third-largest coral reef, and evidence of 10,000 years of human history.
